Scholarship Winner |
Alejandra Lopez, better known as " Allie", is the recipient of the Lake Placid Art League's $ 750.00 Scholarship for 2008. A senior at Lake Placid High School, Allie will enroll in South Florida Community College in the Fall. Her plans include working toward a career in Dental Hygiene, with additional courses in art. During her high school days, she has been active in sports, and is the Captain of the Green Dragon Girls Soccer team. Her primary boosters are her Mom and Dad and younger brother and sister. The Lake Placid Art League congratulates Alejandra Lopez for a job well done.

June Meetings |
The Board of Directors will meet Wednesday, June 4th at 9:15 a.m.at the Art League, 127 Dal Hall Blvd.
The next regular meeting of the League will be Wednesday, June 18th at noon at the Art League building, 127 Dal Hall Blvd. for a covered dish luncheon. The program will feature a "Show and Tell" exhibition, with each member who choses to do so showing ONE of their works, with a short discussion of the technique employed in the creation of the piece. |
