 Lake Placid Wood Carvers
The Lake Placid Wood Carvers meet on Thursdays throughout the year at the Lake Placid Art League Cultural Arts Building at 127 Dall Hall Boulevard in Lake Placid from 9:00AM until approximately 2:00PM. All interested parties may attend and carve their own choices of subject. A two dollar donation is requested for the Art League per Thursday session.
During the winter season for the past four years, a class has been presented for woodcarvers who wish to participate. Wood carvers select the subject, a blank and instruction are provided, as needed, by Bill Snyder, an Art League member. A donation of sixty or seventy dollars, depending on the amount of work necessary for the carving, is made to the Art League. Carvers not wishing to participate in the class may carve what they wish during the Thursday carving time.
